All the way from sunny Algarve in Portugal, my name is Paulo Madeira and here is a little bit about myself!

I had been tattooing for 9 years before I came to Ouch. From a young age I had a love of expressing myself through art. When I was younger my favorite way of expressing myself was graffiti, however, by the time I got to the age of 18 I realized the Portuguese police didn’t share my enthusiasm! Thankfully around that time I was heavily into the surfing/biking scene and surrounded by the vivid bright tattoos everyday, I found myself a new outlet. Hanging out in a number of different tattoo studios, I eventually got myself an apprenticeship and the rest is history!

I worked in Portugal for 6 fantastic years, but eventually got itchy feet, and decided to come to England, where the industry is a lot more open minded and I would have the opportunity to further develop my skills. After 2 years of working at Fallen Angel in Liverpool I was offered a position at Ouch and coupled with an urge to see the capital, here I am!

Although well experienced working in any style/color, coming from my background I have always loved bright, bold designs and I specialize in old school, new school and Japanese styles. With 8 years experience in body piercing, including a microdermal anchor course at Alkimia Piercings I am also Ouch’s head piercer.

I work from flash, on your designs, freehand and custom work, so if you have an idea for a tattoo, or would like any piercing from the everyday to the more exotic, don’t hesitate to pop in!
