A portrait series of Johnny cash, spanning his incredible career painted by resident artist Craigy Lee.
Orange Cash
Portraying the young Johnny cash from the early 1950’s during his legendary time at sun records alongside Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis.
Black cash
The infamous “man in black” from the 1960’s, this portrait shows Cash during his rebel drug-fuelled period.
Blue Cash
Older and weathered this painting represents Cash from the 1990’s. Newly found Christianity and the “American records” series helped him regain popularity.
INFO
The series is acrylic on canvas produced at the beginning of 2010 to commemorate the release of the last Cash record of new material “American VI” later this year.
